Today it's time to celebrate ! It's been two years since I first embarked myself on the adventure of writing a blog and keeping it up-to-date. Last year I also celebrated my first blog anniversary with three entries : blog anniversary I; blog anniversary II; blog annivesary III. To celebrate this special date, I came up with a very good idea : to compile a list of English expressions related to number 2.
- No man can serve two masters / One cannot be in two places at once / You can't dance at two weddings / If you run after two hares, you will catch neither :: These lovely expressions indicate that it is advisable to focus on one task rather than doing two things in a hurry.

- To kill two birds with a stone : This idiom refers to the opposite idea of the idioms above. You can use this idiom when you get two good things with one single action.

- It takes two to make a bargain / It takes two to tango / It takes two to make a quarrel / Two heads are better than one : These funny expressions indicate that there are certain tasks or chores that are better performed when realized by two people (like bargaining or quarrelling).

- To be like two peas in a pod / To be two of a kind : These expressions refer to two people that are alike, physically or personally.

- To be two sides of the same coin : This idiom refers to two people that may look like really different but they are actually related.

- Choose the lesser of two evils : When you have two decide between two awful situations, you choose the less bad.
- One step forward and two steps back : It involves a situation where one makes some progress but then the situation worsens and the person is in a far worse situation than at the beginning.
- Two can play this game : It is a warning for a person that has played dirty on you signalling that you can do exactly the same thing to get revenge.
- To have two left feet : Someone who, like me, is not skilled in dancing.

- Two wrongs do not make a right : This idiom indicates the fact that it is not acceptable to respond to a bad action with yet another bac action.
